Hope for the Future is a childrens orphanage located in Gbimsi (bim-see) in Northern Ghana. It aims to provide shelter, clothing, food, education and love to 48 children between the ages of 2 and 14, to allow them to become strong, independent members of the community. With limited funding, the orphanage relies on the support of the local community and volunteers to continue operating and providing for the children of Gbimsi.
Hope for the Future Orphanage Inc. is an Australia-based charity that exists to provide direct assistance to the orphanage, primarily through donations. The children are in urgent need of donations to fund a new building to house the orphanage.
Update, May 2012: Construction of the new building is underway!
